CONSULTANT – Marc Albrecht

Marc Albrecht

As long as I remember, I was driven by the questions:
How does it work? And why? I enjoyed the exploration of my toy cars’ mechanics as much as my neighborhood, then I discovered the beauty of nature, sports and literature to be followed by aviation, psychology and mountaineering. I love being outside in nature, being in movement, changing perspectives and horizons and I like people. I enjoy questioning, understanding and learning.
As a mountain guide I have the opportunity to accompany people, to connect with them, to define common goals and to coach them on the way to their very own summit.
Mountainous areas not only offer spectacular views, but also many possibilities to discover yourself and to grow personally.

From the valley, many mountains seem impossible to climb. Just the thought of being in a steep face or on a sharp ridge lets you doubt, fear and freeze. You wish to stay right where you are – in your cozy comfort zone.
While assuring a maximum of safety, I encourage and help you to step out of that comfort zone. For being able to move you need trust, will, self-efficacy, focus and courage. Step by step you will advance to finally reach your summit. However, it doesn’t need to be extreme, it needs to be challenging.

To me, mountains are very special places. They are attractive and yet threatening. Climbing them is a pure experience, honest, without distractions. As a team you advance and grow and finally achieve a demanding goal that makes you proud, humble, thankful and quiet.

QUOTE UNQUOTE

“When you’re curious, you find lots of interesting things to do. And one thing it takes to accomplish something is courage.” – Walt Disney.

I am convinced, that the biggest resistances we encounter in life are self-made. If we dare to dream and have the courage to try, almost everything is possible.
